Car-free and Carefree on Rockland’s Main Street

SUNDAY STROLLS is a monthly event, created by Rockland Rolls and our community—in partnership with Rockland Main Street, and the City of Rockland—focused on re-envisioning Rockland's Main Street as a community gathering space. Main Street is opened to pedestrians, vendors, artists, and performers to inspire and foster sustainability, creativity, community, inclusivity, and wellness through interaction and engagement.

Rockland Rolls, Rockland Main Street, and the City of Rockland are excited to announce that our 2026 Sunday Strolls season will begin on Sunday, May 17

Themes and dates include:

  • May 17: PLANTS

  • Jun 21: SUMMER

  • July 19: NAUTICAL

  • August 16: ART

  • September 20: WELLNESS

  • October 18: FALL

Sunday Strolls are an opportunity for the community to gather, bike, walk, create, shop, and play on a re-envisioned Main Street. The street is closed to motorized traffic between Park Street and Glovers Passage (Ada’s Kitchen) from 11 am until 3 pm. Visitors are able to view performances, take part in activities, and enjoy the expanded outdoor space of the downtown and its businesses.

This is a 100% community driven event that is free and open to the public. Sunday Stroll is created by a small group of individuals who have a vision for downtown as a gathering place that fosters creativity and engagement. If you are interested in volunteering or your business would like to participate, contact us today.

Hope to see you on the street!
